Hi guys,

Does anyone here know if there is a vendor in Canada that sells Boyds stocks? I wanna get a Boyds Evolution SS (In Jakaranda color) for my Ruger 10/22T!

I know i can prolly get one directly from them, but would prefer to buy one from a Canadian vendor if there is one!

thanks for now,
Ginnz!

Thanks for the reply! and thats too bad! you'd think there would be some dealer here that would sell 'em! they make such awesome stocks! now i have to see if the retarded Obama ITAR regs classify them as restricted! (I couldn't even get a 30.00 40mm sunshade for a Vortex scope shipped! And its just a hollow threaded aluminum tube, when you get down to it!)

anyways, I will order right from them when i finally do get around to it.....

Ginnz!

yeah, i hear ya! were "taking it from both ends"! the U.S is hammering us with the ITAR crap, and the RCMP is following suit with their own retarded rulings!

kinda like the two GOVT. are working together to slowly create a "gun free "state"", coincidence? I Think Not! ;-)

I was just on Boyd's site yesterday...they aren't shipping the Tacticool stocks to Canada (or anywhere outside the US) anymore. Everything else seems to be ok still.

Yeah, apparently it's the "Tacticool" name that government pundits objected to. Too scary, obviously a weapon of mass destruction, and must mean the export of US Military technology.

I'm still hoping that Boyd's will change the name to "pink fuzzy kitten floral bunny hugs", so they can export them again...

As retarted as that sounds, it would probably work.

I sent an email to Boyds this morning about this, asking them if changing the name of the stock to say ... 10/22 Benchrest Model .. if that would please the US Gov't or whomever makes those silly decisions.

I want to bring one of their stocks over the border from the US into Canada, value as per the Boyds website is $99, should be just fine with the under $100 exemption, correct?

schmidt64 check your other Boyd's thread for the info on the bottom metal that I posted.
