They still ask for invites for the border? Powder ok to bring back without permit?
They can ask for whatever they want to...
Hell.. I guy I work with was going to Chicago for a wedding and they asked to see his wedding invitation
All the "invite" does is support your "stated reason" for enetering the US.
Under the old ruling the invite was one of the options you needed to comply with. Now we won't need either. That said I am going down in two weeks with invite in hand...just in case'

While at secondary inspection, the CBP officer (IIRC, Hoggan was his name) told me that they had just been informed that the restriction on the export of smokeless powder 'for personal use' has been lifted. The export of primers and bullets, however, still required an export license.I asked him if there was limit on quantity and he replied that he didn't know. I then asked if an 8 lb keg would be OK and he said that he thought yes. I thanked him for the good news and left.*But dopey me never asked him for a copy of the reference. Anyone else heard anything like this?

Did something change at the BATFE? I thought we needed either match invites or a hunting license to support our form 6NIA.
Go back and read this thread.

I did read this thread, so I'll ask again, slowly so you'll understand, Did....something....change....at....the....BATFE?![]()
Hopefully the form 6 will be amended soon then, I am going this weekend, bringing the invite just in case.
Having had border guards tell me that guns kill people, I will still be getting invites for major matches, its just easier than arguing
