I got it finaly,
NEA 15 CQB Immediately had an issue... the charging handle would not come to the rear turns out the plate that you tighten the castle nut against was sitting a couple mils high. not waiting another 6 weeks for them to repair or replace such a minor issue i filed it down enough to get the charging handle to come back. seems strange it could have left the factory in this condition. also the fit of upper to lower has a bit of wiggle to it i noticed this right away. anybody else have this same problem? other than these 2 issues everything looks good.

range report later this week hopefully.

I got mine the other day no issues yet still haven't shot it tomorrow is rangetest hope it shoots as good as it looks

POWERWAGON, what would be the reason to not put the wedge in it if you wanted to? I can understand that some people don't mind a little wiggle, however if it bothers you then why not tighten it up? I had one in my Colt 6940 and really liked it there.

No problems with mine, it's a beast!!

now upon completing my first field strip and function test the sear is not engaging if i hold the trigger and rack and release the trigger the hammer falls..... mine must have been built on a monday or after a long weekend....

Did yours come with empty shells and a poker chip? If not, and it wasn't actually test fired, that could explain your issues. I can't imagine it leaving the factory without an operational charging handle. Honestly, it does sound like a Monday morning lemon. :( Best of luck!

then i find upon reassembly and attempting function test when the trigger is held action racked and trigger released hammer falls. after many attempts i find if i snap my finger off the trigger the sear will engage if i just release it normally the hammer falls. also the trigger is extremely stiff has to be over 10 lbs almost hurts the finger a bit after many squeezes.

then there are a few cosmetic things but i don't really care much about that just wonder if others look similair to this or if mine was built on a monday.

Aside from that it is a very nice rifle it has a wee bit o wiggle between upper and lower but i am told that is common and i can simply put a 4 dollar accuwedge in place if i want ...i dont like s**t that shouldn't rattle rattling so i will probably get the wedge. gas tube alignment is good and i haven't taken off the handguard yet to check the gasblock and barrel nut. i need an armourers wrench i guess anyone recommend a good one would be much appreciated.

If I worked for NEA, I'd be glad you did too...

Because (insert brand of choice here - DD, Noveske, KAC, Spikes, RRA, PWS, etc) never has any issues... EVER.

For what it's worth:
Just finished an intense SR course with Hungry. It was between 35-40 degrees on the two day course. Lots of mag failures, gun failures, brain fades by guys who had not stayed hydrated enough, etc. While it was an M14 course mainly, he asked some of us to shoot AR's. He mentioned, when talking about AR failures, to forget Noveske, Knight's Armanent, DD, PWS, etc.,. I was interested, to say the least, to hear him say that if you wanted an AR that would function no matter what- get a Norinco. He told us he has thrown guys off his range because their (insert expensive brand of choice here) repeatedly failed under combat conditions. Tolerances way too tight. Coming from him, it really gave me pause to think.
