I've measured my SR-22 from the end of the handguard to the end of the MOE buttstock fully collapsed, and found it appears to be just over 26 inches.

With 660 mm being the OAL required, as I understand it, am I correct in understanding that this satisfy all requirements to stay non-restricted, regardless of what length barrel is installed?

Ya I've seen some people talking about putting a barrel in that is shorter than the handguard but it stays non-restricted due to the handgaurd to buttstock length.

Seems ridiculous, do you mean to say that the oal is the end of the stock to the front of the handguard?? So if you put a shorter quad rail on the gun would become prohib?

Only if you put a short barrel that makes the over all length shorter then 26 inches.

Its not that hard to understand guys. IT HAS TO BE 660mm(26") LONG. If the stock is 26" you can have a 2" barrel if you can find a premade one. If the stock is less then 26" then you need to make up the rest in the barrel length.

This info is all in the firearms act I suggest you read it

Thanks for posting this... I was just wondering the collapsed length without barrel... sounds like a potential PDW project to me! :D
