Took the plunge

... and bought my first centrefire rifle. Of course, it's an SKS.

I'm currently elbow deep in Cosmoline, but thanks to sites like this and videos on YouTube, I think I can get it all back together.

Just had to share! It's a whirlwind for me... finalized my PAL in June, picked up my granddad's guns from his estate, bought a .22 for my wife and myself, and now this. I'm like a kid at Christmas, but with an adult's credit card.

Also -- any recommendations for non-corrosive ammo? I bought a box of Federal hunting ammo, but that's pretty pricey for punching paper.

Congrads on the purchase. Factory non corosive 7.62x39 is a bit pricey. Learn how to clean it and shoot the cheap surplus corosive ammo.

unfortunately most indoor ranges dont allow milsurp ammo
im hunting for cheap commercial too any suggestions welcome

It's non-restricted and fresh air won't kill you... go outside!
