what grain increment increase is acceptable to for a ladder test for 300wm?

I don't know about for .300 wm but so far on everything else I go .2 grain increments.

for that id be doing .5gn, that will narrow you down pretty quick within 1.5-2gn and then refine with .2gn within that range. the .300wm is a pretty big case, so starting off with .2gn would leave you with alot of unnessisary shooting (for the sake of load development)

I used 0.5 increments when I did my .260 Remington using IMR 4064 and 120 grain Barnes

Before starting to reload for 300 WM, I had seen many posts on the net from guys saying it performs best near or at maximum loads. That was my eventual experience with it as well. So start off at the min load, working up in .5 increments until you get to the last grain below max load, then switch to .2 increments.
