AIA 10 Round magazines in Norinco M305

the lar and XCR 10 rounders I get, but this one is strange. Didnt they design the AIA to use M14 mags?

No the company that makes the magazines for AIA also make m14 mags but since they don't need certian features they didn't add them and changes things to what AIA needed for their rifle. Thats why it's designed and manfactured for the AIA not the M305

AIA did however make a 30 round magazine that was both for the AIA and the M14 thats why it's prohibited but the 10 round isn't because they redesigned it for only the bolt action rifle.

It's great that these are technically legal however you will have some difficulty explaining the details to the police, a range officer or a conservation officer. It is upsetting how one must have an airtight understanding of the law in order to exercise their own rights :/

You don't have to but it does cause allot less hassles. I have firearms that turn peoples head that they're non restricted. I know the rules to why they're non restricted so it's easy to explain. I've taught a few police officers the rules as they had no idea to what they really were. That and they were also into firearms as well

Good luck finding one or two unless you want to buy the rifle from Marstar. Two mags come with the rifle and then flog the rifle with no mags, easy eh.

what if you go hunting with it? If I remember correctly, the maximum capacity of a magazine in hunting situation is 5 rounds.

You are correct. Especially in Ontario. ALL Shotguns are limited to 3 rounds, pump, semi or break action. Rifles are limited to their legal capacity. Lee Enfield are allowed to load up to 10 rds ( why do you need more than one?) plus there is no limit on a bolt action. Garands can load 8. M305 are semi automatic center-fire rifles, which in Canada are limited to 5 rds. Yes the AIA magazine fits in a M305 and is legal, though technically it becomes a prohibited device as soon as it is loaded into the rifle. The same is true for the LAR 10 pistol mags loaded into an AR-15. The catch with prosecuting the offense is as soon as the magazine is removed from the rifle it becomes a completely legal magazine again. You should not have a problem on the range but hunting is another problem.

If you don't have the slightest idea of what you are talking about, it would be best if you didn't give advice.

Ouch! I hope you got a flame suit, because this level of fail is not accepted here!

You perhaps should do some more research before posting. A lot of what you claim is law you have wrong.

This is why you don't take advice from people on the internet, without doing some research yourself. He needs to read more about magazines. The mags are legal in the m305.
