A Way to Get 10 Rounds in SKS Legally?

Hopefully I should be able to take it out in the next week or so.
Since I was having some trouble with the magazine catch, and had to push the magazine in slightly to make it feed properly, I decided to make a different catch that holds it in very firmly, but it can't be removed without a screwdriver to remove the catch from the receiver.
I think it'll work reliably next time and I won't have to hold it with my hand.
It does work with stripper clips, so that's not really an issue. The SKS was meant to have a fixed magazine anyway. It is also possible to remove the floor plate of the magazine if it became necessary to pull the guts out through the bottom without detaching it from the gun.

Good news. I finally got around to testing the SKS with the latest tweaks.
It worked perfectly for about 100 rounds loaded from stripper clips. No jams or anything. I'll upload video when I'm near a wifi connection. Probably tomorrow.

I'm surprised that nobody has said it yet, but if you design a new rimfire round, say, roughly the same size and shape as a 7.62x39, and make a rifle that shoots said round, and the magazine JUST SO HAPPENS to fit into a tapco'd sks......

Another video from yesterday. I ran 10 stripper clips through it without a jam. It's pretty hard to get all ten rounds in with the clip. I usually had to load the last couple by hand.

you just need a better mag release and it will be probably done

I didn't do any rapid fire because that would cause way too much excitement at the range. I did do a couple quick shots in a row, but not a whole magazine or anything like that.
Let's just say, there are people who don't understand or want to believe that this 10 round magazine is legal despite my best efforts to explain it to them. Someone packed up his stuff and left the range because of this! I thought that was kind of weird...
So yeah, rapid fire would have gone over real well...
