I have a 155round .50 cal stainless steel magazine marked" AIRPLANE H 87A-3"
Part 87-69-714R. Loading instructions are stamped on the lid. This mag is for the center .50 Browning, right wing. First one I have seen. Are these mags rare? Any idea as to what to sell it for? Thanks in advance for any information

first you have to find someone with a P40!;)

There was a photo post war of a bunch of them stacked nose down missing the engines, ready for the Smelter in Kingman Arizona.
I think the Pima Air Museum in Tucson AZ has a P40, though I don't know if they need one of those items

I know somebody who has one...seriously!

Hes an older fellow who served in the RCAF during WW2, and purchased it shortly after the war. It is kept in a hangar beside where I park my Piper at Victoria airport. It doesnt fly, but is mostly original, except for the wings. It's a long story, lets just say it was bubba'd at one point!

It has been restored since.
