so I was showing the old man my NEW XCR..as some may know, I got me'self a used one from the EE a while back, ended up taking it up the hoop cuz the barrel was dickered 50 yard groups looked like shotgun patterns...anywho sold it off compleat with a second .223 barrel, used but in good shape, buddy was happy with it and i was happy to see it leave lol

anyways, pop's says "wow, neet, kinda heavy, whats XCR mean"

well there i stood lookin like a 'tard whos been sucking back on too many tubes of locktite 277:p...i had no idea, did some research, still have no idea lol

anyone think they can fill me in?

I'm not sure if you're being sarcastic but hell, I need more posts so forum-users stop treating me like a 5 year old. It stands for Exchangeable Caliber Rifle. The Rem 700 XCR stands for Extreme Conditions Rifle. I guess XCR sounds cooler than ECR.
 
lol there was some serious sarcasum in there man...i just got outta the "what shoul i locktite"thread lol...and I had NO idea what it stood for....kinda boring once ya find out...i was hoping for somthing like...eXtreamly cool Rifle lol...
 
This once came up on the RA site and forum a while back, and even Alex said it had no real meaning "call it what you want". If the meaning truly is Exchangeable Caliber Rifle then that's news to me.

So lets call it what we want;

Hahaha thats awesome! If I had the rifle I would fall in the Non-restricted lovers group
 
ya I gotta say Im loving the fact i can take my rifle out to play anywhere.. and i cant see anything wrong with the design....its different, people dont always accept different.
