Source for mags?
Before you get on me for the "search function" I tried, got lots of stuff on "carbines" but not what I am looking for. I know that there was a thread on a Canadian source for the mags for the M1 carbine but I cannot find it, is there one in Canada?
I checked Marstars, but they are out of stock.
I would prefer usgi, but right now I don't really care, just want to get out shooting. The 15 rounders would be perfect but of course they would have to be pinned to 5.
Brownells has them but I wonder if they would ship them?

put a WTB add in the EE

the m1 carbine and its parts are prohibited from export from the usa without and enduser cert so says the us state depart
 
You can get 15/5 and 30/5 mags from SFRC (Sponsor Up Top). I think they are new manufacture Korean. I got a 15/5 and they look good. Black painted I think and are limited to 5 by a dent in the mag body, not riveted, so there is a good chance you can take them appart to clean.

There were five (5) items on your order that were canceled. They were for the M1, M2 Carbine . Per our US State Department regulations these are restricted weapons. Parts for them must be licensed for export with our State Dept. However our Company no longer processes any parts that must be licensed

hand card
front band
firing pin
gas piston
and gas piston nuts

nothing that make my m1 full auto

NOTHING to do with FA the M1 and M2 carbine are on the u state depart NO export list (unless you have and enduser cert)
