You don't state how experienced you are with reloading.
Magnum cases are hard to resize.
If you are not using proper lubrication and/or you have a light press, not designed for large rifle cases and/or your press is not solidly mounted to a very rigid surface, magnum cases can be extremely hard to resize.
If your RCBS sizing die is clean, there is probably nothing wrong with it.

Trouble resizing
That sounds like an old die that was made to size cartridges fired in "Browning Auto-load Rifles". Is there a date stamped on the die? What rifle are you loading for? Some of the BAR's have fairly sloppy chambers and re-sizing fired rounds is almost impossible. Use Imperial die wax case lube.
