Thanks everybody

You're not welcome ... and you can kiss our (collective) a$$es.

If it wasn't for the smile-inducing GRC info, I might be thinking that I'd wasted my time.

I'm a real Pollyanna. :)

It's too bad that nobody (including moi) cut-and-pasted this goof's original thread-starter into one of the responses. The EDIT option is a too-easy way to re-write (obfuscate) history. Effen revisionists ...

I'm with you boomer49, the 'GRC' was worth it and I as a 8.5 Grizz owner got some good info and will know exactly what to do if I have a problem. So it wasn't a waste, thank you for those that contributed it was appreciated even if the OP was FOS.

"Well that was a winning thread." ... cut and pasted from another recent post on this thread.

Good points. Common sense, and a sense of humour.

Bestest/Easiest thing to do if you have a scary-lookin' non-restricted long gun? Pack along the now-obsolete Registration Certificate that you didn't burn a while ago. I have a Rossi Ranch Hand (that I carried for a few hours today on the ranch and a neighbour's ranch) ... and the obsolete cert was tucked away somewhere handy. Ounce a prevention ...

Help got arrested for a stock dominion arms grizzly
Hi guys as the post says I was arrested and charged fro haveing a prohibited shotgun. The RCMP say the barrel length is to short. The total length is legal and the cert says its non restricted. I have a court date and face a criminal record. Does anybody know of a good lawyer that is knowlegable in these matters or have any advise they can share.
Thanks

I just bet the RCMP are using it as a test case, after all they have already said it was legal to be imported and bought and sold.

Test case for what?

It was their own determination that the gun was non-restricted.

I'd be suing them if they capriciously arrested me (deprived me of my freedom) for a make believe crime.

I'm convinced the OP was completely made up :bsFlag: but it brought out some good points.
I wish the RCMP would arrest me for carrying my Grizzly hunting.
I'll sue their behinds off.
I could use a good payout check from a lawsuit right about now.

Merci ...

Hey "None" & and "Mr. Way",

Major thanks for being wilier than me.

Now maybe some dude/dudette who wastes an hour of his/her life reading all of this flawed-from-the-start thread can have some closure. :) Well done.

Hint to other/newer CGN'rs - Overlook punctuation. But if the person who starts a thread cannot spell "for" and "too" and "having" (with ... admittedly ... twice as many letters as "for" and '"too") in the opening lines ... just walk away.

Them longer words later in the post are sort-of-understandable these days. :(

So... did the OP clam up 'cause the case is still ongoing and din't want anything revealed, or did he take us all for the trolliest ride of the summer?

Hmmm ... he can't spell or punctuate or elaborate ... but he did (somehow) manage to discover (and use) the "Go Advanced" edit button (which allowed him to also change the actual title of the thread) ... as opposed to the more limiting "Edit" button.
