What have you found in the bush?

Great stories!

Myself, Old cans old bottles, Some Indian stuff pots, arrowheads, etc! the area i hunt was once heavily used by them. Waiting to find an old grave!

On CrownLand i found an old picknick bench the legs were rotted off to the bench.. it was very cool to see. I could have kicked it and it would have fell apart. I left it.

Best one was an old claw foot tub all perched on rocks that formed a fire box it was fed by a spring and nestled in the middle of nowhere in an old growth yellow cedar stand.

Someone had alot of class. I assume it is still there and someday again I will hunt blacktails from it.

All I could think of was this:

Let's see...

Found an OPP ballistic assault shield, Baja mini bike, full box of 5.56 CF machine gun belt fed blank rounds, a Motorolla radio, simunition rounds, a cooler full of pop.

I think that was about it.

hunting in a CF base? cant walk 5 feet without tripping over blanks... people rather chuck their blanks then shoot em. People are lazy and dont like cleaning their rifles.

but on the flip i have found 2 pairs of CF ballistic glases, cadpat gloves, the odd boot, and one day walking in a US marine corps training base More unexploded ordanances then you would ever want to see in your life.

You did the right thing LOL, I like when people think that they are the law......LOL

Found an old abandonded homestead in the Chilco country. A hay rack was out in the middle of a meadow. The collar and rigging was laying on the deck, and the scattered skeleton of a horse was laying in the front of the rack. It looked like the horse died in the traces, and the rigging removed. Single rigged rack. Kinda sad.

Looking around, two graves were found, head boards were un-readable, a tarnished silver spoon stuck in one of the head boards ......

Found a complete old horse wagon in the middle of no where which is now a flower pot in my yard but the most important thing I found in the bush was my brother in law with a broken ankle after being missing for almost two days.
That was a feeling I will never forget

lot of old medicine bottles, lots of stubby bottles, couple of shells i know i dropped. an old wooden barrel laying on its side with half rotted away the top half in pristine condition. loggin chain still wrapped around a down tree, looked like it had been there for years

I was taught that if it's not yours, you don't touch it. No matter what. It's also nice to know how many people would gladly rat out thier friends and neighbours to the government to make themselves feel better.

last year found 5 puppies abandoned in the woods it was a very cold night, took them to pets unlimited where my bro-inlaw works and a kind woman took them and raised them needles the works 3 out of 5 adopted out 4th kept and the 5th died to far gone.

Came across a black Lab that had a length of chain tangled to a tree trunk. He was aloong way in the middle of nowhere but still alive and looked kinda mean?scared at first. After I approached him his tail started wagging and he let me unclasp the chain from his collar. He ran around in circles like a mentalcase then I gave him a drink of water and he was off! Never saw him again but wished him luck...

I've found a Leatherman multi-tool, sunglasses, $20 bill and a fanny pak full of shells. Managed to return the shells to the rightful owner.

And did the money find its rightful owner too?

I found an old women living in a tarp and pallet shack with her garden plot nestled in the bush of suburban St Hubert. It was well off the main roads, and hopefully she was able to live undisturbed. I did not approach her, realizing she was there for privacy not company.

Found an old rusted shut leg hold trap with some kind of small critter's leg bone in it.

A 3 axle float trailer, the type you see pulling heavy equipment behind a dump truck, that had been there so long that not only was it surrounded by 20 ft tall trees there were also a bunch of them had grown up through the deck where the wood decking had rotted.

A few old cars, by the style I would say 40's vintage.

A few sheds from both deer and moose.

Three fishing rods and reels together laying on the shore of a lake.
