Got my CORE15

Finally the transfer went through and I have my brand new core 15 piston. This is my first AR so my review will be brief.

The finish is perfect. Not one tool mark scuff or anything. Everything fits nice and tight yet still disassembles with ease. The only thing that has a wiggle is the stock which is just a basic cheapo. It is a piston drive and it disassembles for cleaning very easy in a matter of seconds.

Also got it to the range today put 150 rounds through it with zero issues except me not putting the mag in all the way on 2 occasions. I put 80 rounds into one target at 50 yards with iron sights and made a 2" hole and I suck with irons. So hopefully I will get a scope for it soon and see what it can do @ 100 but for now I need the practice with irons.

So it's safe to say right now I'm 100% satisfied with this rifle

I do have one question - on the receiver instead of saying what the caliber is it says CAL-MULTI so does that mean it's .223 and 5.56? was it just a way around the US export laws??

Yes the castle nut is kind of an issue make sure you stake it. I think when they are shipped they might be with no buffer tube. I have a DI model I am very happy with this rifle.
 
It looks like it is the basic piston model.
I wanted to get that model...but since piston was not a common system yet i decided to go with the DI...been happy with the DI model.
 
Nice rig.

Gas black folding sights are the ####. Especially when they come stock as a package.

Use in good health.

If you do some internet searching and read what owners/operators have to say about the Adams Arms piston system, is that it is very reliable, customer satisfaction is very good as is the companys support. I have a AA upper. Chopper1 is the real deal though, he's put several thousand rds through his with no problems. He can make better claims than me. So far I'm very happy with the product. I haven't shot enough rds to give it a review. BTW this in NOT which is a better system. I'm just commenting on the AA product, not the technology. I also think that the CORE product is a good value. Just my $.02.

I have done my internet research before I bought my CORE15. Yes Adam Arms is reliable. But it is not a COMMON/univerisal system yet. I did not say it was not reliable.
If part of the AA system broke, I would have to actually search for the parts...compared to the basic DI system which is VERY common and I can find parts at any local gun store.

I'm assuming in says multi-cal on the lower receiver. This is because as I'm sure you know that lower can be used on any number of uppers with various calibers.Kinda look funny if the lower said 5.56 and the upper had 6.8 on it.

Our brothers in the south cant legally mix and match caliber marked lowers with a different chambered upper. There uppers have to match the caliber marking on the lower ... the work around is the multi caliber marked lower.
This is my understanding as far as i know it doesnt affect us canadians but i could be wrong.

I like it!! I am still deciding between a NEA or CORE15, only thing i don't like about the CORE15 is the logo engraved on the lower. Yah i know, but I am picky about looks, I'm the same with my women.
