I dont currently own a JR carbine. The reason being I think they look quite ugly. Something about the shape of the gun throws me off. However, at the same time, to get a rifle that takes AR furniture, looks *somewhat* close to an AR, and is unrestricted in a cheap pistol caliber is awesome. So I got to thinking, and wanted to figure out for myself why the gun - in my opinion - looks so ugly. After much staring, I think ive narrowed it down to the stock. Something about the tubular AR stock tube on the blocky upper/lower looks wrong. Which led me to thinking about the ACR stock. So ive done a little photoshop mockup with an ACR stock (and also an ergogrip, and longer quadrail). I think it looks pretty amazing, the angles on the ACR stock even tie into the glock mag angle (which was another look killer). I am considering designing and manufacturing an ACR stock adapter. If anyone has a JR that they want to measure up for me (accurately) the rear of the upper and lower receiver, I can start mocking one up in my CAD software.
You may not agree, but I think this is a pretty epic looking gun, combining the looks of an AR with an ACR, along with the advantage of a cheap caliber and no restrictions.
