Here is my Brno ZG57. Made in 1957 and chambered in 7X57. Have yet to take it hunting, but it's very accurate. Rings are low Talley screw-lock which is about as low as you can go with these rifles. Not fussy about the Schnabel forend to be honest.

I really like your rifle! I even like the Schnabel tip. The old Brno rifles were made very very well. If I could ever find one in 9.3x62 it would follow me home.

What a treat to see all these old classics! My oldest 'classic' hunting rifle is a savage model 1920 in .250-3000. I've yet to hunt with this rifle but one day plan to take a sheep with it. A friend of mine shot a black bear with it the day that I bought it though. My next oldest is a 1941 vintage winchester '94 in 30-30 that I always dreamed about taking a sheep with........which I did 3 years ago! I fine old ram from the Richardson mountains in northern Yukon.

Also have 4 Husqvarna's, 3 that I have hunted with 7mm, 7mm mauser, and .308. My newest, a 4100 in .270 is getting prepped for hunting this fall. Here are the mauser (with scope) and .308.

Very nice. I'm a huge fan of ZG-47. I only have one in 30-06 but i'd love to have one just like yours. I've always wanted a 7X57.

Nice ram lledwod, he's a monster for the Richarsons. What did he score and what length on the long side, do you know? I make him 11 or 12 years old? I'm guessing he's right on 40" on the long side and given the mass he scores around 165.
Is that a flat band 94 you got there?

Thanks! He scored 164, 13 years old, 42-7/8 on the long side, green. Doubt I'll ever beat it, my normal stomping grounds up the dempster tend to yield 'legal' rams (for me), but maybe one day! I don't think the 94 is a flat band.

I've got a 1917 Lee Enfield .303 that shoots it's first two shots from cold very well, I'll start my son off on that rifle. My moose rifle is a 1956 Husqvarna 1640 in 30.06, and I had it glass bedded into a Boyd's classic stock....5 moa...sweet!

Weatherby Mark V developed in the 50's so it is kinda classic. Here is my early 80's Weatherby Mark 5.Deer,moose,bear and pronghorn have all met her since I got it back then because Weatherbys looked so good in early Outdoor life mags, and in 338Win Mag, because Jim Carmichael said everyone needed one:D. Still hits in the x. Picked a lot of tobacco to pay for her when I was a kid

Hey, I didn't start this thread to have it end up in a Delhi tobacco kiln. My beautiful wife worked there almost 60 years ago! :D

More pictures of classic rifles coming...... another lovely 9.3X62 Husqvarna.

Look at the fine checkering on this rifle, and the near perfect grain flow through the pistol grip.

The Lyman 4X is a classic, too.
