I took my XCR-M to the range tonight for the first time. After sighting it in at 100m, I shot this 5rd group off a Caldwell rest. All shots were made about 5 seconds apart and the 5th shot went a little wide. I was using American Eagle 150gr FMJ. It has a Leupold VX-R 1.25 x4 on ARMS #35 mount and rings. 100 rds and it functioned perfectly without a hitch. I am more than pleased with it's accuracy and it's a keeper.

Looks good. :)
XCR's are fun rifles to shoot, eh?

I am pleased with my XCR-L also, currently my fav rifle.
~1.5" 3shot ~2" 5shot groups at 100yds with a 1x Leupold Tactical using MFS FMJ .223 55gr. Rifle was on a simple double-V bench sled.

Try some hand loads, bet you'll see even better results ;) No sense having a 15lb barrel if you're gonna shoot crappy ammo (I'm realizing this now).

Your scope setup looks good! How much was that ARMS mount? Is it pretty solid? Quick release?

Ha, except that brake is like getting punched in the face every time you shoot it :p Curious to see what the recoil is like without it and I bet it would look good with a standard AR10 birdcage.

Good looking gun.

I find the XCR-M's like lighter bullets. Today, I ran through a bunch of 168 gr Sierra HPBT test loads. Best group at 100 was 2.5". Before I started into these hand loads, I shot 10 rds of some cheap factory S&B 147gr FMJ...was able to get sub MOA @ 100 yds.

I was getting good results with 168gr hornady hpbt at 100 & 200 yards using cfe223 powder.

ARMS mount

The ARMS mount is solid and maintains zero after taking it on and off. I might try handloading but I am honestly happy with the was it shoots with AE. I am really happy with my $3200 investment. This one is a keeper. I really like the Leupold VX-R too!
