Here you go. This was an experiment to see how much lipstick you can put on a pig!

It looks pretty fancy, and has lots of dollars into it, but the main components are still Norinco. Upper and lower, barrel, BCG, trigger pack, buffer and spring and most of the small internals. I tell some people what I have into it for jingle and they can't believe that someone would spend that much on a Chinese gun, but I dress up my "expensive" toys the same way and they still cost $2000 bucks more to begin with. Plus I can take all the expensive parts back off the Norinco and put them on something else some day if I want!

Any other make of BCG should drop in and work. The Norinco one works fine though, in my experience, so I don't see the NEED to. However you will note that there is no "NEED" to what I have done with mine either!

Some Norinco BCG's are very ruff looking, however they work.

They are not polished or pretty, but they are tanks and make excellent spares if you can get your hands on them.

magazines? change to pmags and try again. does your extractor feel weaksauce or tight and springy? gastube clear? gas key loose? your buffer spring and tube functioning correctly? it could also be out of spec gas port hole. or mis alignment of the gas port hole and the gas block.
I don't think this would be a problem with the lower or incompatibility issues between upper and lower.

i like the fact i can build my norc to way i like it. it might take me a year or so to play around with it, but it sounds like you guys are happy with them

My 10.5 upper is having feeding and ejecting issues it's on a armalite lower I cleaned and lubed it any advice ?

your extractor spring is too weak.. my 10.5" norc was having a lot of failure to extract problems.. i ordered an extractor booster kit.. i haven't received it yet, so i put a .062" piece of rubber under the extractor spring..
since then, I've easily put 200 rounds through it without a single failure..
that should hold me til i get my booster kit.

apparently this is a common problem with short barreled AR's.

WOWWWWW. i love that setup!!! 12inch troy alpha??

I'm thinking of doing a free float setup. how hard was it to do? i have a AR combo wrench too. makes life a little easier i heard

it's the 12 inch Alpha on the 10.5 CQB with a PWS Diablo compensator.

you need to remove or cut down the front site, and if you remove it you also need to install a low profile gas block.

once you get that in order, it's a pretty easy task.
