Hoyt's the guy to talk to about Hawke scopes and the Varmint SF is the one I decided on recently. However, the only dealer that could get one for me wanted $300 for it, and D&L seemed to be permanently out of stock with no ETA/explanation as to why.
So, in the wake of my most recent, positive experience with Vortex, I ordered a Crossfire II with the dead-hold, BDC reticle and I couldn't be happier with it. This scope (when I get rings) will be sitting on top of my Anschutz field gun.
Might be an option. Glass is really bright and clear. I prefer side focus but this appears to be allot of scope for the money.

)... on this build he has the silver TG2000 and I have the black... I always give him first choise... and he always takes the nicer of the two! I really was hoping to get the Boyd's Applejack EVO stock on our DARR22 EVO's... but of course he picked it...generally speaking, just assume the nicer of the two is his!
