Hey guys,

I need a sling for the XCR and I'm just wondering if you guys can offer some input. The XCR-M has a QD point on the back of the reciever and I'm wondering if I should get a single point sling or get the rail adapter and another QD ring for the front? Would a single point sling have my muzzle hanging down too low?

Can I get an adapter and a sling that already has QG points without breaking the bank?

Should I just go with something that ties on?

I really like the 3-point slings (if that's what they are) that let you carry your rifle in a lot of different positions and work well as shooting supports. I will be hunting with this rifle so the more versitile the better. Shoulder gets sore with only one way to carry the rifle.

What would you do?

Cheers :)

You'll probably find something like a VCAS would be worth considering, I used to run an MS2 on an AR, and found in a fashion that the muzzle would did into the ground or hit my knees uncomfortably, so I switched to the VCAS. I think single point slings have there place, maybe if you're kicking in doors and running around with a short PDW style rifle.

But hey, that's just my 2 cents at least

God damn, that's a good looking rifle.... that like an NEA adapter and a Magpul stock or something?
You probably don’t need the padding… The regular VCAS is fairly comfortable due to its thickness.
I dunno man, it weighs like 12lbs wet and I do a lot of walking in hunting season. Even my 9lb Rem700 wears on the shoulder with an uncle mike's sling.

the padded vickers kicks farking bum best sling I ever have used ( own 3 now)

its NEA adaptor and magpul ubr stock, it feels much better for me than the fas stock.
well it looks DAMN good. Only thing is that those UBRs are like $500 or something, aren't they?

I can tell you that I don't like the slope on the cheek piece of the FAST stock. When I zoom in on the scope the eye relief changes and then as I move my face closer it rides up on the cheek piece and knocks my eye out of alignment.

That and if you pull it in tight to your shoulder with any down pressure on the pistol grip the folding mechanism unlocks.

I got my ubr from oneshot tactical for $300.
