Geissele trigger troubles.

So I have just installed my new Geissele SSA- E trigger group in my Stag and guess I must have F - up. My rifle is now a single shot.
Everything seemed to go according to the install instructions and video but after every shot, the trigger locks up and I have to turn the selector switch from Fire to Safe and back to Fire.
With the lower dissembled, I can only #### the hammer when it is the Fire position and not while it is in the Safe position. (This may be correct for all I know). However when in this position initially, the trigger is locked up. If I then turn it into the Safe position, there is a click and the hammer seems to move a hair, as if it is resetting itself. From there (Locked on Safe) if I go back to the Fire position, the hammer will fall.
Any ideas what may be wrong before I de-install it and start again.

Thanks.

Wish I could help you - I just installed my Geissele S3G and about the only thing I thought someone could mess up was perhaps a spring on backwards/flipped around...tested mine today and it functioned fine so not sure what to suggest other than take it apart, watch Bill's install YouTube vid, and try again.

Trigger problem solved.

Well I think I have now got the problem beat. I re-watched various videos on the installation, disassembled everything and reassembled the trigger group. I had the trigger spring in the wrong position entirely  and everything now seems to work as it should.
Have to get to the range to double check but thanks for all the input and messages.

Glad to hear it! Like I said, when I put mine in I thought the springs were about the only thing that could get messed up. The trigger and hammer appear so meticulously made it is hard to imagine them putting out a bad one.
have fun range testing it...you will love it!

Glad to hear you got it sorted. Enjoy your SSA.

What do you think of the videos anyway?

sweet dude. I will likely let my stock DD trigger group stay for the break in period and see how it smooths out. looks like a very nice trigger though and maybe one day i will do the upgrade.
