As for this gun being a range queen.....um, unless the gun in your pic is non-restricted...the CFC dictates where you can fire your gun. I still have a choice. Just sayin'

Story time?

Story is took my brand new XCR-M in tan to the range, the brass was ejecting about 20 -25 feet away and on the 18th shot, the brass went about 8 inches. Broke the bolt and a piece of it jammed against the live round in the barrell. Had to take it apart and pry the broken piece to get the live round out. Good thing is that Wanstalls who I bought it from told me to send it back and they reimburse me for the shipping charges. Bad thing is $2800 for a rifle that fails after 18 rounds through it... Waiting to see if Wanstalls can fix it or if it will have to go back to Robinson to get fixed there.

Check out the Warne extra high QD rings. That's what I have and they are great. Only rings I could find with the perfect height for the 30mm tube and the FAST stock.

So I thought I'd mod my new toy. Swapped out the folder for a Magpul PRS. Also was able to buy some Magpul PMAGS in .308 from Questar.

Without the drop, I would have required higher rings....in this current configuration...I get excellent cheek weld. Also of you look at the pic with the FAST stock, there is a built-in amount of drop.
