I live in Alberta and am looking for norma 204 powder and have not been able to find a supplier. Does any one know of someone who carries norma powders in Alberta
Dave Friesen at bcredneck.com usually carries it.
Eagleye.
I don't see any actual pictures of products advertised on the Friesen website at all.
He wants the visitor to email him with phone number and address for prices for unspecified products.
Smells like a spammers "fly paper" trap for email addresses and personal information to me.
No thanks.

Trust me on this one.
Not trying to be a know-it-all here, but A-Square's info in this case is in error.
Norma 204 is NOT identical to RL 19, and Norma MRP is NOT identical to RL 22. I have them all, and through experience, I can see a distinct difference in these offerings.
I will not comment on RL 15/N203B, since I have not worked with 203B yet. [I have some, but have not yet opened the tin].
Even when you view the granules of powder through a 20X magnifier, you can see a distinct physical difference.
Identical charges of RL 19 and N204 in any given application always yields more velocity with N204, showing a slightly "faster" burn rate for N204 than for RL 19.
MRP and RL 22 are quite similar in burn rate, but identical charges again show enough variance, depending on application, that I would never use them interchangeably without backing off and working up again.
The difference is more than is seen lot-to-lot in any powder.

I am not at all trying to start anything, just passing on what people that know way more about all this than I do.
It is my understanding that before Alliant powders were made in Sweden they were not exactly the same but pretty close. Now that Alliant is made in Sweden, they are the same.
Is the powder you are looking at "new" reloader with Made in Sweden on the bottle or "old" stuff?
Just curious
I have used rl22/mrp interchangeably in my 7mm rm a few years ago (was testing temp stability) and noticed virtually no difference between the two (they do both suck in cold weather though).
Cheers
All my Alliant powders, with the exception of several pounds of RL 12 are new stock, made in Sweden. Still show the difference physically. I just re-checked my latest stock...MRP/RL 22. Even the color is slightly different.
MRP is denser than RL 22, MRP does not suck in cold weather, in my experience. AAMOF, through a 40ºC swing, MRP in my 30-06 [61 grains behind a 180 Partition] average velocity only dropped 21 fps.
