Tokarev sticky magazines

Just purchase a TT33 from Tradex. Great service. But once I cleaned the firearm the two magazines stick and are very difficult to extract from the handle. Any thoughts?

cosmoline,it's a protective grease coating use for the long term storage of military firearms, it gets in to everything and can be a pain to remove.

At the bottom of the inside of mag well, on the left grip you'll see a leaver,move that and gently pry off that grip,be careful,its very old, once the left grip is off the right one is easy.

Give it a couple of good shots of WD-40 and wipe it down good, that should do the trick.

I used kerosene on my m305 and mags. Works really well.

Thank you for the tips. Yes I removed the Cosmo and you are right it was a pain. chain degreaser from my mountain bike worked very well.

I'll have a go at the grips in the couple of nights. Thanks for the guidance regarding the release.
