I got a new to me 858, looked great, shot it a bit then sent it off to Wolverine for the mag well adapter. Got it back and did some test firing, and after about 60 rounds started jamming on me. thinking it was failure to feed from the adapter i kept trying it.
Then i thought it might be from lacquer build up in the chamber, so cleaned the heck out of it.
Kept getting worse so after last jam sent it back to Wolverine to figure it out for me. Thanks to the guys there they determined i had head space issues:( and it was piling up on me. This is what it starts to look like, and when it jams after every shot it looks a lot worse now. Also, thanks to the guys at Wolverine, they are going to give me a deal on a replacement one and install the adapter on it:)

Can't remember exacty how the mechanics of this thing work, :D But if those are your locking lugs, I'd say you've got poor heat treatment, which is creating the head space issues.

Um, if any of you guys is a guy with a zavora I'm sorry to have to tell you that you're doing it wrong....

Then again, the occasional tuzemák to get a lady's zavora(s) down isn't a bad idea.... Just need to be damn sure she's only had one or two, of a gentleman has no choice but to call it an evening and see the lady to her door. *smiles*

WoW Stevo your knowledge on this firearm platform is out standing.
Thanks for the thoughtfull insight as it was verry illuminating.

As for the orignal poster I wanted to see the rocker to check for deformaties on it due to the fact that if there is no weird wear maks than that means the process that Sean Rauch did for you some how screwed up the hardness of the reciever causing it to deform in this manner. I am sure that Wolfgang will be able to deduct this. If this is the case then I am afraid that it might not even be good for spare parts. Although there has been so few of this types of issues reported from this process it is a possiblilty and also there were very few of them done for us to completely atribute it to this process. Although it is still a posiblity. Please post back your findings as some people who shoot there rifles would like to know.

If you cant wait till i get it back, get a hold of Wolfgang at Wolverine, tell him i said its ok to talk to him about my zavora..gunsmith-customer confidentiality will be waived in this case!
