Few questions regarding upgrading to RPAL

I just mailed in my application for my RPAL. I've been a PAL holder for 4 1/2 years.

- When I receive my RPAL, will it be a NEW license that expires 5 years from now? Or will it just be my current PAL with the restricted endorsement...requiring renewal shortly?

- When I go to check the status of my application online, all I can see is the record of my PAL being received, processed and issued. Will my RPAL application show up under my existing profile?

- Will my license number remain the same or will I get an entirely new one? I ask specifically because of my ATF 6NIA forms list my current license number.

Thank you

It will be a new card and expire on your birthday 5 years after it's issuing. (I think) I upgraded my PAL to RPAL just shy of a year after getting my PAL so I'm not 100% sure as mine still says 2017.

Yes it will. It takes quite awhile sometimes. I recently did the daily checking routine while upgrading my own.

Same license number except the .0001 at the end will say .0002 if it's the second license you've been issued. In 5 years when your current license expires and you get a new one it will say .0003 and so on.
