Good day for me. Bad day for a Coyote

I know this is not rimfire... but this is the only place i hang out here is in the rimfire section

Got this dog at 108 yards with a .223 55gr Hornady Hollow Point. Dropped it right where it was standing. First time I have ever called in a coyote.

Nice, just a note, we try to keep our dogs away from downed coyotes. They have too many things that can transfer to a dog. Now that you have called in 1, you are hooked. More will fall .

The gun I shot that Coyote with was my friends, And being that all i had were .22's i had to go get me a gun of my own. Just got back from another try at calling, nothing this time. Sighted the gun in. 3 shots in a dime at 100 yards was good enough for me so off to hunting i went.

.204 is a cool choice, let me know how you like it. I opted for .223 for varmint hunting, but if the rifle I wanted was chambered in .204, I would have had a huge dilemma. Being a Savage, you bought a laser there~congrats!

As for the AR photo with the coyote, I'd say I'm envious...but the feeling is probably closer to anger. Anger over our laws that don't allow Canadians to use them for varmint hunting here. I'd buy an AR tomorrow if I could hunt with it. Heck, I was even looking at a Kel-Tec SU-16 a couple of weeks ago. A $1000 pc. of plastic, so no temptation.

Went out this evening. I had been calling this spot for about 20 min when these kids showed up. They Parked there atv's about 100 yards up the hill walked down. I could hear them talking all the way to where they sat down and started calling. I gave them 15 min to see what they could bring in. after that i started playing with them. They never did see us. Nice,one day I'll hunt varmints with my AR dam it. In my own country would be great but maybe i'll have to venture south for one of them prairie dog shoots.
