Norinco CQ311 I bought used from P&D a couple years ago. It now has A2 furniture and and ARMS mount on it. I think about selling it, but it does everything I ask of it.

First was Aero Precision stripped receivers, DD and Magpul everything, and Questar barrel.
I would have gone DD all the way if their SBR and stripped receiver were available, I just had to build it myself ;)

Norinco CQ311. Stunk something awful (still had some strange lubricate/preservative all over the plastic), but it shot a ragged hole at 25 m with 55gr bulk Rem UMC ammo.

Sold the Norc and got a Colt MT6700 as well as went through a couple LE9620s.

Essential Arms EA15. Colt A1 profile barrel and upper. Bought it used and the barrel was kaput! I suspect too many rounds from firing with a drop in auto sear. I changesd it out for a Colt Hbar barrel. I eventually traded the rifle during the ban for a Springfield NM Garand. I now have two ARs I built on CavArms lowers. A 16" Rock River Arms upper, Magpul stock and a 20" Colt light weight profile with A2 upper.

My next quest is a .22lr dedicated 16" supressed build.

Odd that Colt isn't on the list. Seeing as how they used to be one of the only games in town I'd think they'd account for a large number of the older members. Probably why the "other" category is in the lead.

Mine was/is an 11.5" A2 HBAR Armalite on an Eagle Arms lower. I keep planning on updating it, but it still sits in the configuration from 2003 or so.

My 1st AR was a Stag. Liked it so much I bought a 2nd in a different configuration.
Sold both of them about 3 years ago when I was getting out of the shooting sports for personal reasons.

Now that I have returned to the sport, I really regret selling them. It seems that it is almost impossible to find a decent AR that is actually in stock (and backorder waits of 6 -7 months.)Things have changed alot in 3 years.

Luckily I managed to nab one of the new Daniel Defence M4V5s coming in next week to One Shot. Although, if Walter had not been out of stock at the time, I would have probably picked up another Stag.;)

Epic Fail: Colt is not among the possible choices and it's the AR15 "Gold Standard"!
There are a couple of better rifles but a Colt AR15 is an excellent choice any time.

Lots of play between the receivers, flash hider was improperly timed, stock was canted, and the trigger pins were extremely loose. Just didn't feel like it was worth what they ask for them. But like I said, might have been a Friday gun.

Yeah that would have me turned off of them too. The one I received isnt plagued with those issues so likely a lemon. But concerning either way!
