GSG 1911 tactical 22LR

Got one

Love it!

Get it!

X3

just took my new one out to the range today 300 mix of mini mags, Winchester X (sumthing like that in the red plastic trays) HP and RN, American eagle HV, blazzers and some cci stingers (theese things have a real nice flash lol). All without a hiccup. I had two fail to fires but i'm pretty sure they were an issue with the ammo and one fail to feed probably due to me not paying attention while charging the mag this thin is fun, not bad for the first 300 rounds.

and it looks good lol

I picked one up last week and I am really enjoying my GSG. I have to say the finish is a bit crummy though, already having it wear off in places and I only have a couple hundred rounds through it

Yeah, I've heard that as well, a common complaint is the finish. I guess it would wear out even faster if you holster the thing. My worry is the others stuff though - broken recoil spring guide seems to be another common issue with these guns, but apparently they've ironed this problem out with a version 2.

We have been seeing fewer and fewer of the recoil spring guide rod failures as the evolution of the pistol has continued. With the newest generation pistol we have seen very few failures of this type.

Hi Ryan,

Thanks for the confirmation.

There's was a nice review of the gun here, but then when you get to the comment section, it's pretty nasty:

Granted most of the complaints were posted back in 2011, there's a version 2 out and there's a local dealer (you guys) to help out with warrantee issues so that definitely gives me peace of mind when I get one of these.

I've been ripping through .45 acp (and other ammo) like it's going out of style so I'm sort of in the hole (money wise) and currently on the $hitlist (with my wife) for buying two guns without telling her.

it will be nice to get a .22lr to keep my ammo consumption under control. When I find some money someday, I'm definitely going to have to drop in for a visit.

Thanks again!

Peter
