We use a guy west of Edmonton a bit, an old buddy of mine (no he don't give me no deals, I think he charges me more 'cause he can get away with it) who has been doing it on and off since he was a kid. #1 son has 4 sheep there now so he's talking about a pedestal mount with 4 rams on one pedestel, could be kinda cool.
On my high end stuff I use Brian Dobson of Artistic Taxidermy Studios in Edmonton. He is 7 times world champion taxidermist and is amazing.

It wasn't in this post BUM, I had it in an earlier one but can't figure out how to transport it here, so I'll just tell you..............It started life as a 700 Ti in 300 WSM I then ordered a kevlar ultralite from Mark at Brown Precision. Stock weighs 14 oz I believe. Then to PT&G for a speedlock kit and aluminum bolt shroud. Finally I topped it with a Leupold 3-9 Compact in weaver rings and bases.......all up weight 5 lbs 15 oz. It was a little fussy on loads but managed to get 150 TTSXs into 3/4" at 3300 fps, doesn't like 165 gn bullets for some reason, which is what I wanted to use in it, but with no success.

You know we're s'pect'in photos aye?
I had Dawn to Dusk do my moose.
Diane Montgomery I believe is her name.
This gal has talent and artistry in her pinkies.
I have seen some of her work and she is truly outstanding.
They were set up just east of me here in Kamloops and ended
up moving south of Sorrento.
I think the Notch Hill valley maybe.
She is worthy of consideration too.

'Looky, do believe she is doing #1 sons kitty he shot last winter down there somewhere. If she is the same lady, she trained under Brian Dobson for several years.

Thanks for the excuse to go visit her on my next outting to the lake.
If you haven't seen her work, I am certain you won't be disappointed.
There is one other taxidermist that used to work out of his house in
Vancouver.
Many years ago he did some things for dad.
A pair of Ptarmigan, male/female and what an example of the best
taxidermy to witness.
The male was standing over the hen on a snow covered hill so to speak.
The male had the red layer above the eyes.
She was laying down.
I don't know where those went.
I moved out in my late teens and a bunch of things he gave away.
My rattlesnake skin was another.
There was a squirrel I shot when I was a youngster and this was done
up on a small stump with the squirrel standing on the stump with an Alpinee
hat on and holding a small bottle of grappa.
Another sweet mount.
If I could ever find this one, I would have it duplicated on a tattoo for my
first in rememberance of my dad.
Check the old feller out in the old hunting photos I posted.
He was the chap with the beard or holding a smoke.
One tough dude in his day.
The fooker could shoot too.
Didn't matter which way, rifling or smooth.

I have only hunted those in my iPhone and they were tough to bring down on that. Great job to your son and you for the pics
