I bought a Savage Mk II BTVS as a 22lr trainer rifle and am ready to move on to a better rifle.

My 2 big issue with the Mk II are:
  • "Miniature stock": I'm 6'2" with orangutan long arms ;)
  • Accu-Trigger: I prefer a factory Remington 700 type trigger

So here are my questions:
  1. What are better factory target rifles?
  2. Are there any Remington 700 compatible 22lr action being produced right now?

I've looked up the Remington 40X but unfortunately it is not produced anymore.
I am considering a Custom Remington 547 rifle or a Stillers 25X action (if it even exists).

The CZ is a nice rifle but I think that it also has a "mini stock".
I an Anschutz rifle is another definite possibility but I would prefer a barreled Remington 700 type 22lr action, this would allow my to use the same stock as my "real rifle" for training. Heck, I might even install a 300$ Jewell trigger on a Remington 700 type 22 LR action.
