Well when I first got my 10/22 I planned to just keep it the way it came out of the box...then I thought maybe I will add a Scope so I did..then I thought maybe one of those Butler Creek Mags would be nice to add on..so I did...Then I thought maybe a Bipod would be good to have at the Range and so presto!........is there no end to this madness...:D

In answer to your question ....NO !
Bolt releases , muzzle breaks , different barrels , different stocks , trigger kits etc etc ....it will never end !
It's madness , but in a good way !

I just spent $1000+ on a 10/22 and parts, and I haven't even fired a round through it yet!

I have a 92A1 for sale, and will prolly put the proceeds towards even more mods.

So the answer is, NO! There is no end to the madness! LOL

You my friend are in the same boat as me..I have yet to fire a round through this Rifle...lol Hope to book some Range time soon.

I think your right, it is great fun adding things to them..I am already thinking what else can I get that would look good on this Rifle..:D

likewise, simple answer is no. i too am into my first one over $1000... i had a second one i was doing up aswell but ended up trading that for a kawasaki 250 dirtbike... now i have a bike to customize too.... great.... another money pit lol

What else can you put on it to look cool ?
Wellllll....I just put a muzzle brake on mine which is certainly fairly useless on a gun with no recoil , lol .
It makes it louder and it does look really cool though

Yeah I was thinking about a muzzle brake and possibly a new trigger kit at some point...so far I have only just done the very simple mods but the more I look around online the possibilities list grows and grows.....lol.

I've put over 4000 thru mine and did everything to it over the last 3 months . Shooting it helped me decide on what to do too , as after shooting it a few times I wasn't thrilled with the synthetic original stock , so I changed it etc etc . The exception is , of course , the aforementioned muzzle brake which I had no performance driven reason to buy . But again .....it looks very cool ! Lol .
I'm a slave to aesthetics sometimes lol .

You've got a ways to go! When I got my 10/22 it had the hardwood stock, and now it's all suited up. Although it's not the end of my build yet...

As for both of you, put some bloody rounds through those things! I'm over the $1100+ mark now and there's been over 5000 rounds through mine. It's good to test the rifle throughout the build then you get a feel for it in every aspect.

lol......I agree. I plan to book some Range time at a DNR Range next Week... I really should take it out and actually fire it before proceeding and buying some more goodies for it.

Well I just got mine in the mail today. ;)

Got the bone stock gun with a Jacaranda stock, and a Nikon Prostaff Rimfire 4x's to go with it.

Headed out to pick up some rings, and then it's off to the range. :D

Still waiting on the extractor, target hammer, cheek rest, buffer, and Dlask 12.5 barrel, and thread protector.

There is an END... for your current gun. BUT, there will always be another gun... builds are dictated by styles... and since we change and are inspired by things we see, we always want to try "something different." The 10/22 platform really enables the addiction... and then come the bolt actions! :D
