Just finished this up the other day and thought I'd share.

Ruger 10/22 with a modified butler creek folding stock (welded so it can no longer fold to retain non-res status). Had to make up a "cap" for the forend where I shortened it to keep the bubba look away. This is a stock I modded years ago to be a left side folder on my full length 10/22 if your wondering why it looks backwards.

Barrel is a Dlask 8in with a plain ol' AR birdcage on it.

Ebay forward grip on ebay rail.

Fake-otech 552 on ebay weaver rail.

Butler creek 25 round and also the black dog 50 rounder. The 50 is a great mag and compleets the look I think.

WhenI get some paint I'll cover up the welds in the stock pin but other than that it's done :) 690mm OAL. 660mm without the flash hider.

It sucks when all you have is a stick welder. That clearly a TIG job in my opinion. looks cool over all though
 
can never make stick welding nice on such small things thou were thats mild steel u can use the same polarity for tig just need the sheilding gas.

How observeit you. Nothing really. Just missing paint that I have to touch up when I get a can. Just looks too alful to post.

The welds in the stock pin I have to clean up, then blue or paint.

Any no, I am not a welder by any means :redface:
 
Would that folder be long enough to remain non restricted with a 12 inch barrel?

I considered it, but it doesn't look like it......

Just doesn't make sense to buy a folder only to have it fixed open IMHO.

I plan on modding a standard stock to go with my 12 inch.

I would suggest that what you did there is illegal... as soon as you dropped that action and barrel into an unpinned stock... the stock should have been pinned before the barreled action was mounted... just a thought.

If you look very carefully, you'll note that the stock is being held up in front of the barreled action, it's not actually assembled. ;)

You are right, that gun was originally built & reregistered as a restricted firearm, the owner wanted a pistol type 10/22 with a stock. Unlike the charger, the classification could be reregistered back to a non restricted status later on, Thanks for your concern though! Dave.

Very good Dave... just would hate to see a sponsor slapped because of a technicality and oversight... take care.
