Does any one know if they have fixed the ugly frame droop problem on the M&P9/40/45 pistols?

Is it a common occurrence or is it pretty rare for pistols to develop this?

The OP is probably asking about the the slide dropping on it's own when a magazine is slammed in.

I may be wrong but I dont think so. By his wording it would seem to be an issue with the appearance of the gun.

I'm not even sure... it may be internet nonsense:

I think I want it more now that it is a little less perfect. It's like having a dirty girlfriend; they usually come with perks you don't get with other girls and they like it when you drive 'em hard.

I think what the OP is talking about is a perceived problem where the front of the frame appears to 'droop' at a slight angle to the bottom of the slide. In fact, it's more of an optical illusion than anything else. The slide tapers up a little where it meets the frame, but this makes it look as though the dust cover area of the frame is drooping, especially depending on the lighting and angle of the photograph. It has never been a problem...guns with this apparent gap still function perfectly.

There's a fair amount of discussion of the matter here... http://mp-pistol.com/mp-full-size-pistols/17722-m-p-9mm-fs-frame-sag.html
