Howdy folks, a gal I know has a Win94 30-30 1867-1967 Centennial model and would like to know what it's worth. It looks unfired. Has longer hexagon barrel. No box. Small..small dings.

What do you folks think it's worth?

Happy Hunting!

Here in Ontario, without box and sleeve, about $400 - $450 tops. Williams Arms has a pair of them for $950 (20 and 26 inch barrels). But, in other parts of the country they may be worth more. I`d value them on par with a shooter grade of rifle of the same era, maybe a little more based on condition and the coolness factor of the octagonal barrel - hence the $400 - $450 value. Just my $0.02 of course.

hey

Thanks for your input. I kinda figgured around there somewhere. Odd thing is, I have to admit I watched one of those goofy storage locker shows. They had exactly same rifle and they suggested $500.00 value.
Thanks again!

Howdy! Thank you for taking time to write me. Yes, It is a factory hex barrel. What do you think?

"Looks unfired" is a $400.00 rifle. "Unfired rifle" is closer to $575.00 or so with proper box and sleeve.
If it has a factory hexagon barrel it is priceless.

I dunno about such things but I think a hex barrel woulda been kinda standard. It's a pretty piece but?? How many thousands did Win make and who wants them? She's a nice lady and would like to see her get fair value for it.

KC, what do you mean by if it has factory hex barrel??

I was nitpicking.
Winchester never made a hexagonal (six-sided) barrel. If it has flat surfaces there are eight, making it an octagonal barrel. Hex barrels were offered only on muzzleloaders, and most of those were in the 17th century or earlier. Sorry for the confusion.

My apologies. I saw the rifle once. Yes, you are most likely right. It is 8 sided. You obviously know your Winchester levers.

Thanks again!

They made 90301, rifle and carbine combined...all with octogonal barrels!:)
A friend of mine bought a 26'' and cut it down...it makes a nice bush gun!

OK:)

Worthy of note....I did see one sell for a VERY high price last year; it had sat in the Kenora CT for a LONG time with a $1400.00 tag on it. Apparently some guy from Manitoba saw it, nearly fainted, and bought it on sight. So they are worth what the highest bidder will pay.
If I were this lady's friend, I would try to sell it for $800.00 asking, settle for $600.00 or so and consider I had done my best for her.

You are very kind! Thank you, Sir!
