Couple of questions here…
Hi
-I looked at a lot of loading data an it seems every manufacturer of either powders or bullets have the own recipes for reloading their stuff. Is it safe to only factor the weight of the bullet and not the make/model ? I mean can I exchange a 100g nosler for a 100g hornady , providing I start in the medium pressure range, and work it up from there ?
-About Barnes bullets…..I found their recipes are always a bit less than the regular copper/lead bullets. Again in this case, can I charge with a competitor recepie ? and again being careful to start in the mid pressure range.
-Also I was looking at some very old recipes for 1964 (sierra I believe). they would only say 4831, the would not tell if it was a IMR or a H powder. is this ok ? they did talk about IMR and H powders in the book, but did not mention it in their recipes... Old timers please, is this how it use to be?
is it safe?
Thanks
Stef
