OK, so just installed my Power Customs extractor which seemed easy enough.

I go to cycle some snap caps and they don't eject!

The extract but don't eject, falling on top of the magazine inside the action.

Figured I would trt the old spring with the Power Customs extractor and same issue.

Then I said screw it, and went to install the old extractor, and old spring(originals that worked yesterday) and same issue!

Snap caps, and live rounds are simply falling onto the magazine!

Anyone?

Have u tried shooting it yet? I dont think snap caps are the best for proving function in a .22 just because of the msall variations in ammo that can make all the difference in feeding. Try shooting it or at least cycle the action aggressively

I tried ripping the bolt back as fast and hard as possible, and rounds still get stuck. Some just make it out of the ejection port.

I also did try with some live rounds after removing the firing pin.

I will be headin to the range tonight to test it.

Can't remember?? Did you put a new barrel on the rifle?
You're going to have to break it in at the range as things are going to be tight off the start.
Also...Put the OEM extractor back in and see if that changes things.
Does this happen with the 10 round box mag in the rifle?

I have tried it with the new extractor and old, and same results, and yes this is with the 10 round box/rotary mag installed.

Is the ejection normally so week?

When I first got the rifle I cycled the snap caps with the BC steel lips mag, and they seemed to eject much better.

I just didn't have the BC handy to try at the time.

Is the ejector not located on the mag?

I realize there is an ejector as part of the trigger group, but with a mag inserted I can't see a round hitting that ejector as the mag is in the way.

And Wham-o this is all prior to installing the barrel.

I thought myself smart enough to do the upgrades one at a time, to test them as to not have to trouble shoot so many things.

All I did today was change the hammer, and extractor.

Trigger works fine, and is much improved but.....

You might be worried about nothing. Test it with ammunition as it was intended to operate.

I have tried with real unfired rounds.

I had a couple misfires at the range the first trip, and was able to cycle the bolt and eject them as far as I remember.

This is my concern.

The thing should eject an unfired round! Rimfire duds are a common occurenc!

I'm having the same problem with my 10/22 with a Power Customs extractor and Dlask barrel. I'm kinda hoping it's the ammo more than anything, but haven't had the opportunity to try other ammo. If you figure it out please let me know. I'll do the same.
