cheers

While some of the info listed above I already knew, I'm a little skeptical about some of it. For example, Knights makes their SR-25 lowers in house, so it strikes me as odd that they wouldn't make their own SR-15 lowers. Not impossible, I suppose, just seems a little odd.

I know Colt makes their lowers and barrels in house and CMT makes the rest. CMT is right across the street from Colt.

The lower isn't the critical half of the rifle. Although it is interesting to see both "tier1" and "not tier 1" makes coming from the same source.

Colt can make everything M16/M4 other than rifled barrel blanks in house (they can profile barrels, but also purchase profiled barrels). They do, however, subcontract out lots of forgings for cutting, and purchase parts for their rifles, and have done business with CMT for a long long time.

CMT is in New Britain, 8 miles away from Colts in West Hartford. Figuratively across the street maybe. ;)

Anyone who's been to our factory knows we make our own lowers from the forging.

Nice job Military Channel...

I heard it on the internet man... It's the truth I'm telling you..

Ya what do you know Kevin you're just some guy that works there.

Internet = truth...... But he said it on an Internet forum then.... That must be the truth also! Mind = blown.

don't you wish someone would make up a Excel spreadsheet listing all the specs and feature of each manufacture's AR.

If I want that I know where to go. LOL.

The site where employees of sponsoring manufacturers are Moderators with over 12000 posts, (and actually go as far as close threads that don't attempt to bury Stag Arms). The best is watching the the BC? Employee/Mod having to talk himself out of previous bizarre CMT claims, and come up with a story how their CMT parts are better than Stag Arms (CMTs own) parts, due to 'testing'. LOL. I think Continental engraving CM on their bolts out of the blue (and more) really put some noses out of joint. How are you a manufacturer if you assemble parts?

A marketing tool for the owners gunstore, and paying sponsors, nothing more. Not a source of non-sponsored information. Say what you may about CGN, but at least Greentips isn't here to plug his gunshop 19000 times, and where I'm not a Moderator, working for a brand GT sells, allowing me to trash and lie about any brand I don't sell, promote my own, and closes any threads that turn against the script. All the while claiming people should listen to my trusted 'opinion' and not trust what they themselves know.:rolleyes::rolleyes: The credibility (and techniques) of scientologists. :slap:

The site where a gun from a brand created last month (and new sponsor) can be the 'new Tier 1!'. Bollocks to the lot of them. People are run out of town on CGN for far less.

But thanks for the laugh. :)
