After I fire a few rounds out of my Parker & Hale .30-06 my scope goes blurry and takes about 30 sec or so for it to clear up. The scope is just a Bushnell Banner Dusk to Dawn series (not top of the line). Could this be the recoil or just a problem with the scope?

I had the same sort of issue with a "new-old-stock" Redfield 6X that I purchased from a dealer who was going out of business years ago. I didn't use the scope for several years then mounted it on a 10/22. The crosshairs went slightly blurry after each shot and the point of impact always shifted a bit. When I inquired about getting it repaired, the consensus was that the erector tube which contains the crosshairs inside the outer scope body wasn't being held in place by the adjusting mechanism. Getting it repaired would likely cost more than the scope is worth. Unless you can convince Bushnell to repair/replace the scope on warranty, I'd suggest donating it to somone who teachs a firearms safety class to use as a display item on a non-firing rifle. Your hunting or shooting success or failure depends on the reliability of your scope so consider buying one that has a good reputation for quality and leave the bargain basement ones to someone who isn't as smart as you.

Thats a rude first post! You should do well, and have a lot of fun.

Have you tried other scopes?
I know a guy whose blood pressure increases after heavy recoils and his eye-sight gets blurry. To the point that he's only shooting 22s now.

No, I have fired many other rifles, this scope hasn't always does this on this rifle it just recently started happening. I blame it on the cheap scope I was just wondering if anyone has had the same problem

Had a "new" Bushnell Trophy blurred on full magnification sent it to Bushnell replaced it in 2 months ,put it on my .22 and bought a 4200 , no problem.

Something is wrong with the scope, because it should not do this.

But I just want to say that some folks who stare too long through a scope will start to loose the crosshairs and get a blurry image. It's more because of eye strain than the scope, and usually a lower price scope with glass that is a little fuzzy, or any scope with fine line crosshairs will kind'a help cause this if you take too long looking at a target before making the shot.

As Scanner says above, if this is the only scope where this happens to you it is the scope and not your eyes. You can try for the bushnell warranty or find a new scope.
