I'm looking for a tactical scope. What is the best ? ( Leupold, vortex, NF, Siii or ...)

I know a guy make a review about this topic. But, what is your opinion about this ?

Thanks

No such thing as "the best". Depending on desired use the choice will vary. There is no one brand that is distinctly better than the others. There are some brands that are top choices and are better than the majority, but no one brand is clearly "the best".

Depends on what you intend to do with it. One Shot Tactical(above) has options from both ends of the spectrum. Personally, I would go with USO, S&B, Premier Reticle, Nightforce, or Zeiss.

I'd just get something cheaper like the Vortex and practice the hell out of it.

Read the other thread in the optics forum "Vortex Razor HD WTF?" and tell me if you still want to give that advice.

The poor guy payed $1400 of his hard earned money for a scope on his AR and had the crosshairs tilt on him. Others on that thread are sharing similar experiences. I guess Vortex has a great warranty though.

Buy once, cry once.

Theres a reason Vortex has such a great warranty service, they have alot of practice having to use it, warranty is great until you end sitting out for the day because your optic failed.

I wrote a review in the precision rifle section and concluded that S+B was the best while the Sightron Siii was the 'value' buy. NF are also very, very good. Much depends on budget.

Bushnell doesn't make anything that's quality enough for centrefire or serious work. The elite tactical line is grossly over priced for Chinese crap.

If you say so. I'll bow to you superior post count. I'll say this though, all three of mine are made in Japan. Two are mounted on centrefire .308s, a match m14 and 5R. The other is mounted on an xcr-l.
The've all been subjected to at least a thousand rounds without issue. The one on my 5r allows me to shoot .5MOA at 300 yards and the other on my M14 has allowed me to hit figure 11s at 800m without issue.

You missed my point completely, but that's OK.

My point is that if you're a new shooter, you're better off buying a low cost but decent quality scope like a $500 Viper PST and shoot the hell of of it, learn a lot about optics, then make your decision based on your own experience.

Buy once, cry once.

So did you buy a Bentley or a Rolls? Or is that just talk?
