3.5" vs 3" pumps and short stroking

So i have the choice between a 3.5 and 3 inch guns for general poop your pants situations, bears, zombies,etc...

The 3.5 inch I'm looking at feeds a bit more reliably but there's more stroke to it, think that would be a factor when pumping scared?

Not at all, I find minimal difference between 3" and 3.5" shotguns when pumping to where I dont even notice it anymore. The 3.5" chamber really isnt an advantage but the reliability trumps everything if the 3" gun is problematic. A slick, reliable action is more important to me than a half inch of pump stroke.
