So as it seems that this is a bit of a rarity in Canada is there still some in other countries I wonder. If its a czech convert there must be more out there. I am glad I snapped it up even though it isn't what I anticipated it was.Well she is not a 1907 carbine but is definitely a M1891 converted to M38 style.
Beautiful (and RARE) carbine. All the dollar amounts quoted here are WAY LOW for that one. A Mosin collector would likely give $400-500 for that little gem.
Have a look here where we have explained these in the MKL over at MSC:

Lol thanks guys.Very nice find,..congrats!
well I care that much about Mosins so now you can think of 5 people lolThey might cough up $400 but I can think of 4 people total that would care that much about mosins.

That's the one I now have - it's a Claven2-Andy family heirloom!
So few 91/38's change hands in Canada, that's it's difficult to place a value on them - it pretty much gets established each time one is sold. It comes down to how badly someone wants one. Since there are so few, a buyer either meets the seller's price or he doesn't acquire it - he can't just go to a different vendor.
As far as prices go, it doesn't matter what any individual buyer wouldn't pay, but what some buyer would pay.
I agree with Claven2's price estimate - it's conservative IMO, but there's only one way to know.![]()
