Yeah, haven't gotten around to it yet.

You say you got the S&J off the EE ? Was it used ?

I'm interested in those barrels myself for when I'm ready to do my AR build.

Things is, I have a copperphobia, haven't been able to determine thru forums searches if they collect copper or not like normal rifle barrels. I assume the chrome lines barrels do not.

Yes the S&J was used, member claimed 50rds put down the barrel. Upon recieving the barrel, i inspected the bore and it was 100%

Some guys on here are very good with a camera and can often get a good shot of the bore. You can ask for such pictures before commiting. But most guys on here hate getting ripped off so its rare that they will rip you off

For some strange reason I was expecting to find an AR with an SKS stock on it....

Anyways- nice build! Its always nice to get parts off of the EE for your build!

I was wondering, how does this work as far as registering your AR. Once you are all done do you have to register it and how would you come up with a number since it is a custom build?

Just curious how this all works in Canada.

Thanks

No prob gurkha

Every thing on the AR doesnt require a PAL to purchase with the exception of the lower reciever

When i ordered the lower the registaration was normal, when i called to complete the transfer the lady at the CFC asked if it was reciever only i acknowledged that it was but i was mating it with a custom build upper and she said thats fine they just needed the lower S/N and that is the number that states the gun, as they dont consider the rest to be an actual gun unless its on the lower reciever..

If my info is wrong some one please correct me

Okay, thanks SksA1 that certainly clears things up. So the lower receiver is basically treated as a restricted firearm as far as the sale is concerned but all the other parts are not?

That is funny to me but so are a lot of the Canadian laws.

More or less yeah,

When you build one you can call the CFC and get the rifle verified once its complete and permanently register it to that specific upper

Neg.

The only part that is considered a "firearm" is the lower receiver. If you wanted to bolt everything you have to an Airsoft receiver you can throw that baby in the front seat and drive around with it all day. EVERYTHING but the lower receiver are "gun parts" which need no registration or PAL to procure, transport or sell.
