More than a hundred shooters started yesterday in 7 degree weather, rained a bit in the afternoon and then ended with the sun coming out. Met quite a few new faces including the the new shooters from Fort St John. I am aware of one new shooter completing his Black Badge course Good luck guys and gals.

I heard so many good things about Brian and his elaborate props and, I am really impressed with the current props. The mining car with the 'gold pan in your hand start' is the most fun I had in yesterday's shoot. Stage 1 with the coffin and rolling target was my 2nd favorite.

I am looking forward to shooting the stage with the platform ala shoothouse style with a swinging target at the end triggered by either popper at the end.

I am glad I made the trip up and am looking for another full day of fun (in the rain?) My only complaint was the cold. I thought this was summer?

BTW, my CRO and fellow RO are both Albertans. Todd O I've known a few years now and Ralph S. , I met for the first time today. I am always impressed by the Alberta contingent and actually missed quite a few acquaintance that didn't make the trip up this year.

Our 3 very hard working helpers, Terry, Heino and Scott are like energizer rabbits.I hope their batteries don't run out for another day :) as mine are low now.

looks like a helluva match. looked like a couple stages had more than 9 rounds from one shooting position (required, not available)

Write to the Sponsors

I just sent a 'Thank You' email to Brian for a job well done. I had so much fun and am still grinning ear to ear from the experience.

The second step is to write the sponsors and thank them for sponsoring the Provincials.

Let me thank the sponsors from GunNutz though,

Custom Reloading - Thank you John and Brad for sponsoring and giving us a special gift at the beginning of the stage.

Canada Ammo - Thank you also for being a sponsor. I will remember you when I shop for ammo next time.

You're welcome :D

John

ps you forgot your trophy!!!!!!

Hahaha, I thought I was out of the running after all those no-shoots! Did a fellow Albertan happen to grab it?

Be sure to drop me a line next time you head this way. Would enjoy to shoot with you again John!

Was an awesome shoot! Had a great time meeting new people. The days were long while shooting, and my legs ached the next morning.
I think next time I hold a timer I'll put in for a shorter stage or a roll of tape!

Hospitality was great as was the organization of the whole shoot.

Can't wait to do it again!

ok, loving the videos, wish I could have been there. Couple more questions, what happened to stages 7 and 8???? and why isn't Randy Fisher listed in Standard? I don't see his name in the DQ list.

Stage 7,8 were on range 3 along with stages 5,6 so they figured it would not work with 4 on one range. I RO'd that range both days and 4 might have worked , while 3 stages would have as we would wait up to an hour between squads.

As far as Fisher, word is he and 2 others missed chrony
