Took 2 months for all the paperwork to go through (first restricted), and it's been fully paid for, sitting at the gun shop for even longer but I finally brought her home this weekend :D

Damn! Sweet pistola! Who'd you get it from? Cabelas had them going for just over $900 if I recall but they took it off their list after they sold out. I want one of those one of these days!

My buddy got his mK25 last week from Questar. He waited for about 5 weeks from the order date. Better than the 3 months they originally quoted.

Anyways - have fun. Shoot lots.

Thanks guys!

I picked it up from a small local gunsmith here in Kelowna, ended up paying $1,200 after tax. A little more expensive than Cabelas, but I don't mind too much considering i got to handle it in person before buying, as well as supporting the little guy and all that.

400 rounds through it so far and not a single malfunction. The only thing that's somewhat annoying is that my thumbs-forward grip sometimes affects the slide release, stopping the slide from locking back on an empty mag. Nothing to do there but work on a consistent grip.

Make sure your weak hand thumb is forward on the slide and put your strong hand thumb over top of your weak hand thumb (keeps it out of trouble).

Have fun with it ! Love my P226 Enhanced Elite 9mm...but like others have said...it won't be your last. I only made one range trip with it before a .45 was on it's way. I'm not even gonna pretend a .357 revolver won't be next...and that's not even including the SKS and M1 that somehow ended up in my safe

This sport is too much fun.

Love the 226 platform, and yes once you get that muscle memory of where to put your strong hand thumb you'll be good to go. For me it was as simple as having my strong hand thumb able to feel the knuckle (for lack of a better word) at the base of my weak hand thumb. I just shifted it a half cm closer to the webbing and I was good to go. Hope that actually makes sense, I'm not too sure if I'm still a little drunk from last night or getting the hangover starting.

My first was an XD9 that I bought before my pal came in. Remember checking the mail box 3 time a day even though the post man only came once. It was hard having my pistol sit at the store , all paid for aching to be fired. My last was the P226 just a week ago.
