8.5" grizzly and mesa side saddle?

anyone have a mesa on their 8.5" grizz? what works? what doesnt?

I don't have a mesa, I think its a tacstar. With the 8.5 (I have a DLASK, but its the same dimensions) you need to get a 4 round sidesaddle as the pump comes back over the receiver a bit. I'll post a pic later for ya.

I have the Mesa 4 rnd but am looking for the 6rnd as there is enough room for it even though the slide comes over the reciever a bit.

Mesa fit my Dlask 870. Switched to the Dlask aluminum railed fore-end, and no modification was needed.

6 shot does not fit with the factory forend, I had to cut a 3/4"x 1/4" notch in the forend and now works like a charm

I eyeballed pics of 870's with mesa 6-shell side carriers, and the front edge of the carrier comes to about where the front edge of the lower mag loading port is (roughly).

No problem with the 6 round Mesa

I had to trim the fore grip a tad to fit the 6 shell Mesa, but it fits on solid and you have to change your grip on it a little to avoid slamming your wrist into the 6th shell.
