Not mine as my health won't allow any more long term projects.A good friend is putting together my project rifle,7SAUM ss action,B&C Ti stock.Wyatt Box magazine, and a Kreiger #3 chambered .350 Rem Mag finished at 22".Bill Leeper will put it together,it will be the match for the 6.5 Rem Mag he built me last year.I'm looking forward to seeing it,it should be a thumper! If its anything like its sister it definitely will be. They'll look good in Mur's safe together.
Good rifles sitting in a safe mean little to me.They are built to create memories, and to do that they must be carried up mountains, through willow swamps, across prairies and down black timber draws. They are totally inanimate til they are hunting.A safe full of unused hunting rifles is a waste,it is a denial of purpose. That will not happen with mine. Mur

I'm relatively new to the 350RM but since I have owned mine in a Model Seven I've become quite enamored with it.
200gr TSX's motoring-along at 2800FPS out of a 20" barrel, what's not to love?
As the years roll-by and I get deeper into the shooting scene,I just don't find heavy recoil that fun anymore, and although the rifle {close to 7lbs all-up} is snappy it is certainly manageable for me to shoot twenty from the bench.

I like the specs you've got going on your custom, sounds like something I'd like to carry. I hope you will show pictures after it's complete.

I visited Mur yesterday, and we packed the parts for assembly for shipping. Talked some about hunts of the past and the hopes for this year and I enjoyed spending more time with him and ol' Gunner (the dog not a cgnr).
Had to wait a few weeks long for a part that arrived in sad condition, but with some work it'll work!
I weighed the setup last night and scoped this package will weigh 7lbs 9oz. I'll post pics of the parts for Mur later!

Yeppers. Mur is as good as friends get. Here is the pics of the parts on the way to Bill:

So the rifle is together, and of course it was done speedily with Mur's health in mind. Thanks again to Bill for that, and for dropping it off at Mur's!

It was built the way Mur and Bill imagined it, and it really is a quintessential BC rifle. A 358 cal that can toss 200+ grain bullets fast enough to reach across a meadow, or in the alpine, but has the weight to break bone when you need to in the thick stuff.....under 7 1/4 pounds scoped!

Did some break in on the girl to a total of 13 rounds today. Some 200gr TSX over TAC and BR2's and 225gr Partitions over RL15.

It was definitely a start and the recoil is sharp but manageable.
The TSX's groups got smaller as it broke in, but that barrel get really hot really quick! Funny thing was that the first shot in each string would make a .5" group total.

Rumor is that Ramshot powders prefer Magnum Primers, and I had forgot that. I am going to load up 215Ms into the same load tonight (here comes the danger police.....)
