Lever actioned Handguns????

Hey fellas.

I was going over my dad's old Red Ryder that he had as a kid, and I got thinking to myself that a lever actioned pistol would be pretty stellar.
I can't be the first one to stumble onto this discovery?

Volcano or volcanic pistol, I saw it in red dead redemption and thought it was something rock star games dreamed up then I saw an episode of sons of guns where they had one

So it's stock is 11.5" long? Wonder if anyone might think of retro-fitting a pistol grip stock, make it restricted...might be a fun range toy...

No, that's the barrel length. Front of the receiver to the end of the abbreviated (no shoulder stock) is about a foot. These things are essentially large pistols, are classed as such in the US, but are non-restricted here.

Same as the lever on a repeater: to open the breech and eject the spent cartridge, making way for a new cartridge. The Browning 1885, Ruger No.1 and Martini rifles are all lever action single-shot firearms.

This is a Volcanic pistol (the originals date back to the mid-1850's or so). The Volcanic action (used in both rifles and pistols) was the predecessor of the Henry rifle .... which preceded the Winchester Model 1866 rifle .... I'm sure you'll note the "family resemblance" -
