Hey fellas.

I was going over my dad's old Red Ryder that he had as a kid, and I got thinking to myself that a lever actioned pistol would be pretty stellar.
I can't be the first one to stumble onto this discovery?

Volcano or volcanic pistol, I saw it in red dead redemption and thought it was something rock star games dreamed up then I saw an episode of sons of guns where they had one

No, that's the barrel length. Front of the receiver to the end of the abbreviated (no shoulder stock) is about a foot. These things are essentially large pistols, are classed as such in the US, but are non-restricted here.

Is a lever action Mall approved?

Last thing you want is to be working a lever over trying to stop a theft at Manchu Wok....better stick with a semi auto.

Oh jeeze. If you ever get the chance, check out the Standard Catalogue of Smith and Wesson, section two, chapter one, " The lever action magazine pistol, sometimes referrred to, mistakenly, as the Volcanic........

This is a Volcanic pistol (the originals date back to the mid-1850's or so). The Volcanic action (used in both rifles and pistols) was the predecessor of the Henry rifle .... which preceded the Winchester Model 1866 rifle .... I'm sure you'll note the "family resemblance" -

Here is a YouTube video of a Volcanic pistol being fired-
