20 MOA base VS signature zee rings with inserts

i prefer a 20MOA base, lots of guys say great things about the zee rings + inserts, but call me old fasioned i dont like the idea of attaching my scope with any thing that moves (ie changeable inserts)

The Burris Sig ring inserts are geometrically locked into place, and are held unmovable when tightened. I've used them for about a decade on multiple rigs with moderately heavy recoil, banged around in the bush and mountains, and I've never had an insert move, nor a scope slip.

I use both systems. A couple of my rigs have a 20MOA rail and Burris Sig rings with 0.010" inserts in front and rear, for a total of approximately 35 MOA; 15 of which is completely directionally adjustable.

Use both.

See my article on scope set up in the Tech section on my website. It will make sense.

There many positives to the inserts that many shooters may not fully understand.

Once installed properly, a scope is less likely to move then in solid rings.

What's the max verticals moa adjustment for the rings? I am doing a build on a sako a7 action and M having trouble finding a canted rail? Will the rings be enough?

Depends on whether you're using 1" or 30mm rings, as well as your ring spacing, but for a 1" scope it'll likely be about 35MOA max, give or take, using 0.020" inserts in front and rear.

Using 30mm sig zee's on my PGW F/TR gun. I'm convinced that they saved my the scope during the infamous Honda Odessey durability test. I HAVE had two crossbolts break on me, thanks to my penchant for farmer tight fasteners, but found some hex head replacements that seem to be better.

I have a .243 with a EGW 20 MOA base.
When I use the rifle for short distance bush hunting, I simply install a low power scope with the inserts installed in such a way to take most of the MOA out of the base.

Never any issues.

20 MOA base VS signature zee rings with inserts

Neither.
Glass bed the mount(s) to the receiver while shimmed to be parallel with the bore, or tip the front of the mount down 20 moa, or any other custom pitch desired.

If you can't do the math, find a kid in 9th grade:)

The plastic inserts provide a stronger yet safer hold on the scope. The plastic can deform slightly to provide 100% contact with the scope tube yet they cannot damage or scratch the scope.

No solid ring on the planet can say those two things. Solid rings that have not been lapped are not providing 100% contact and that can result in damage to the tube.

Anyone who poo poos the signature rings doesn't know how they work. They don't move and cannot move.
